A shearing machine is a necessary component of a hot rolling mill; it is installed for cobbling, length cutting for cooling beds, cutting the front and tail ends of bars, and commercial length cutting for TMT bar. FLYING DIVIDING SHEAR

CONTINUOUS SHEAR

  Continuous Shear is installed after Cantilever Pinch Roll in TMT Bar Mill. It is installed in High Speed Mills preferable of more than 15 meter / second. It can shear from 8-12 mm of TMT Bar through Servo Drive / Pneumatic Cylinder.

ROTARY SHEAR

Rotary shears are cost-effective, used for cropping front, tail as well as to scrap pre quenched bars during any contingency. They are continuous rotating types and are generally used to trim hot-rolled bars at a comparatively lower speed.

CRANK SHEARS

  • Crank lever shears working as start-stop-shears and adopt the crank-and-rocker principle of operation.

  • Whilst performing the shearing operation the knives are almost perpendicular to the stock to be cut.

  • This shears are suited to crop, cut sections and cooling bed lengths as well as for emergency cutting.

  • All internal support systems/parts of machine being hardened & grinded for minimum back lash

  • Gears and knife holders are designed for minimum inertia to deliver optimum performance.

  • The casing is Pre-Stressed to prevent seperating of casing parting surfaces on load during the milli seconds when the cut is executed.

  • Shears are Stop/Start and continuous operating type and driven by the Direct DC Motor Drive. These are controlled through PLC system. Hence very close tolerance of cut length is achieved.
